Hi, I’m Mary!
If you’re planning a memorable event, you’re probably worried about getting just the right “team.” You don’t want to be embarrassed or stressed out, and most of all you want to make sure that everyone has fun.
So, let’s get to know each other a bit so that you can decide if I would be a good fit for your event.
Since the early days of my music, I’ve enjoyed arranging and performing sacred music, soundtracks, pop & Disney favorites, and so much more. I started my composing journey with Celtic music, and have participated in many competitions and college-level theatrical productions. Arranging and playing music for theatrical performances is one of my favorites!
What’s it like to work with me?
Here’s how it usually goes: if you decide that you’d like me to play for your wedding or event, we’ll first have a get-to-know-you meeting to hear about your event. If you know some of the songs you’d like, we can discuss them then. If not, no worries! I can share some tips on how to pick music for your event. I’ll probably play some music on the piano or harp to help use hone in on your style.
Within a few weeks of your wedding, you’ll make sure I have a final list of songs. I’ll go to work learning/arranging them to fit your style.
During the rehearsal we’ll make sure that everything fits well with your ceremony, and I’ll tweak the arrangements if needed. On your big day, you can relax about the music, knowing that I’ll be doing my best to create a beautiful soundtrack for your memories!
My goal? That you don’t have a worry about your music.
You won’t have to wonder if the DJ is going to play your song too loud or cut it off too abruptly when you get to the end of the aisle. You won’t have to worry that there will be an awkward pause in the music if the flower girl gets distracted and takes her time tossing the rose petals.
You can expect a custom-arranged bouquet of music that will craft just the right atmosphere for your special memories.
Credentials:
- Holds Bachelors Degree in Music, Thomas Edison State University (Trenton, NJ)
- Harpist in Hendricks Symphonic Orchestra, 2015-2019
- Pursuing advanced harp performance credential
- Trained and performed with the Academy of Arts in Greenville, SC, 2011 – 2013
- Studied consistently with private teachers for 20 years
Fun facts about me:
- In my “spare” time, I’m a hobby farmer, film enthusiast, and volleyball champ (or so I’d like to think)
- I’m also a licensed massage therapist… so obviously making people feel relaxed and perfectly comfortable is one of my top priorities.
